To enable e-mail notifications, go to Multisite Monitoring and click on Activate actions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Choose a status that you want to be notified about. For this example, we will configure notifications for cases where a service changes its status to CRITICAL. Click the add button on the right side:<\/p>\n

Activate notifications by e-mail<\/p><\/div>\n

In this popup, select:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Action:<\/strong> Send e-mail;<\/li>\n
  • Time interval:<\/strong> Full time;<\/li>\n
  • Execute immediately:<\/strong> if you want to receive the messages immediately, choose “yes”. If not, you should specify the time, in minutes, that the system will wait before sending the messages (recommended: 5 minutes);<\/li>\n
  • Execute only once:<\/strong> this option allows to configure recurrences. By choosing “no”, the system will resend the messages at the specified interval. Recommended: “yes” (send only once).<\/li>\n
  • Apply to all devices and services:<\/strong> when choosing “yes”, notifications will be sent for all devices and services. If you need to enable a notification for specific devices and\/or services, choose “no” and select the specific items in the tabs “Devices” and “Services”.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    In the following popup, select the users that should receive the e-mails:<\/p>\n

    Usage cases<\/h3>\n

    This system has the ability to cover the following usage examples:<\/p>\n

    • Send a message if a service is in ERROR status for more than 10 minutes.<\/li>\n
    • Send a message every 30 minutes if a service goes into CRITICAL and remains in this status.<\/li>\n
    • Send a message if a service is in CRITICAL status for 20 minutes. If the service continues in this status, repeat the message every 5 minutes.<\/li>\n
    • Send a message immediately after a service goes int CRITICAL status. If the service continues in this status, repeat message every 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Recommendations<\/h3>\n

      • Avoid creating various rules for the same status and same devices and\/or services with similar objectives. This can increase the volume of notifications, because every rule is processed independently from each other.<\/li>\n
      • For services that change status too frequently: choose “no” in the option “Execute immediately”, and specify a time delay, example: 5 minutes. This will make the system wait and send the messages only if the service remains in a problem status for the time specified.<\/li>\n

                Exemplos de uso<\/h3>\r\nEsse sistema de configura\u00e7\u00e3o de notifica\u00e7\u00f5es cobre os seguintes exemplos de uso:\r\n

                • Envie uma mensagem caso um servi\u00e7o esteja a mais de 10 minutos no estado ERROR.<\/li>\r\n \t
                • Envie uma mensagem a cada 30 minutos caso um servi\u00e7o entre no estado CRITICAL e permane\u00e7a neste estado.<\/li>\r\n \t
                • Envie uma mensagem caso um servi\u00e7o fique 20 minutos em CRITICAL. Caso o servi\u00e7o se mantenha nesse estado, continue enviando uma mensagem a cada 5 minutos.<\/li>\r\n \t
                • Envie uma mensagem assim que um determinado servi\u00e7o entrar em CRITICAL. Caso o servi\u00e7o se mantenha nesse estado, continue enviando uma mensagem a cada 15 minutos.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

                  Recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es<\/h3>\r\n

                  • Evite criar v\u00e1rias regras para o mesmo estado e para os mesmos dispositivos e\/ou servi\u00e7os com objetivos parecidos. Isso pode fazer com que a quantidade de mensagens enviadas aumente bastante, visto que cada regra de notifica\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 processada de forma independente.<\/li>\r\n \t
                  • Para servi\u00e7os que costumam trocar de estado com muita frequ\u00eancia: marque \"n\u00e3o\" na op\u00e7\u00e3o \"Executar imediatamente\" e especifique um valor, por exemplo: 5 minutos, assim o sistema enviar\u00e1 as mensagens apenas se o servi\u00e7o permanecer por um determinado tempo em uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o de erro.<\/li>\r\n \t
